... and just so no one thinks I'm a hypocrit.

Donny .. GOE from 16 to 17. With Help (Edge) ... *walks away limping*. Full Edge, every day (get to rest at the end of a day to refresh it), 3 Days, 2 Hours. Paid the price for Group/No Ordeal (49 Points).

Taking the next chunk of karma and directing it towards Edge attribute (3 to 4) ... 12 Points. (developing while doing the GOE advancement since he's using it so often as part of that).

Improving Gymnastics 4 to 5 (10 points). (2 Days, 5 Hours) (see next) - Developing Quality (Quadridextrous- 10 BP/20 Points) ... Developing the Quality while increasing Gymnastics, using one to get used to the other. Merged Learning Times.

Remaining Karma is being "banked out" to pay for something. Quality "Pilot". 10 BP. Remaining karma, plus 7 outstanding is forwarded to Token as per tithe and such.

I'm moving Donny officially into the "pure Edge rules" now just to see how this really works in general comparison.

2 points of karma to Token
9 points to raise Edge from 2 to a 3 (not sure if there is a time associated with learning, so I rolled it anyways, took only a day)
6 points to raise Metamancy to a 3, took one day
12 points to raise Blades from a 5 to a 6, took two days

More will probably be spent depending on the post involving Camden

I got a question raised by two people now about the karma award I gave out for the "IPO/Space" games. I'm going to answer the questions here so everyone knows and understands where my decision is arising from.

First of all, the threat level was actually quite low. The groups resources were more than adequate to handle basic and advanced situations that were going to thrown at them. Brock handled the most difficult dice rolls of the whole evening, and I truly think a good portion of that was simply because he was splitting and/or sustaining his actions all over.

Second reason and this one is the most important one. No one really pushed the "Role Playing Envelope" that much save perhaps Greg. Sure, it wasn't pushing the envelope where he as a player may be concerned but it was as close to pushing the envelope as there was. What did he do? He made the decision to "shoot no matter whom was there in the way". Granted, I also realize this was as much Greg's disatisfaction with the game concept itself as anything else (he's never been a fan of space games with regards to SR).

Third Reason was that the IPO game was, for the most part, diluted down to a role-playing moment. Sure there was some effort on some of the characters, but this wasn't stunning effort in my opinion. It was however a chance to role-play the characters and only a couple of the players truly took advantage of that.

Fourth Reason ... I wanted to do more as a GM, but am as equally tired of the "System Failure" storyline as anyone else. Granted, I can do a LOT more than I think some of the players would. If I'm wrong, then tell me that. Prove it to me. As it is, we're trying to consider "what to do next". And there are a LOT of ideas, but we don't know what to do for sure yet.

Anyway, that's the reason(s).
