Actually the MitS book suggested that enochian had a european version, or something to that extent.

I would eventually like to tie that in with meddles knowledge skill of mystic european runes, and the matriceing stuff (which i would like for Keith to print up a basic rule set for if he has time).
Jon, I have put a post in the "General Shadowrun" area, but I'll do it in here as well.

I would like to get together with you, Marvin and Kyle on this coming Tuesday if at all possible. I want to write-out/clarify the rules for Scanning, Contact, Abstracts and... if I can, Matrix as well.

Let me talk that one over with Mike, I need to make sure I know exactly what he had it doing and how.

Mike, could you define the defensive weapon foci for me? I'm pretty sure I know what you mean, I just want to check.

It's a restricted foci that only works when you are defending yourself. If you get more successes than your attacker then it is treated as a full-defense maneuver. That is presuming you choose to use the shield as part of your defense. This also makes it cheaper to bond as well, use the following bonding cost: (rating x4) karma.

Shields are for wimps!

Very little use against explosions, sniper rifles, and large falling objects.

:anvil:

Besides,a character needs his offhand free to thumb his nose at his opponant while shooting back at him with weapon in his other hand.

Because of frequent use
Buzz Karma expenditures:

1.....Token "tip".......(fraggen,blankty,blankty spirits!)
7.....Car 6 upto a 7
7.....Gunnery 6 upto a 7
7.....Mechanical Arms Operation 6 upto a 7
5.....Polar Magnetics 4 upto a 5
7.....Rotorcraft 6 upto a 7
7.....Walkers 6 upto a 7
3.....B/R Ares Weapons 2 upto a 3 (Alphas and Redlines)
3.....B/R Battle Tacs

Added as cross over from other K.Skills:
3.....Propusion Systems at a 2

The above skill will be used as complimentary to Launch Weapon Design and B/R Rockets to develope a smokeless, vaporless fuel for the Tri- Barrel Mini-rocket rounds in the Launch Facility on Solly.
Target number,please?

Also, either using existing contacts or developing a different one out of Tunis, depending on what I need to get them,Buzz will look for
2 Master BattleTac units and
10 receiving units.

A new walker drone will be quickly developed based on other designs being already used.Being refered to as alternately as a
"squat" or "humper" with Loa designation pending,it will be a 5ft tall,2 legged walker with 2 arms that looks vaguely like Shield in mil-spec armor to be used to carry his stuff.

I think I must've completely overlooked this one in the past. B/R "Ares Weapons" doesn't work. Ares makes every kind of weapon that exists in the Shadowrun Universe. Having a knowledge skill of "Ares Weapons" and using it as complimentary to other B/R skills I can readily see. But as a base skill, this should be a no-no. Shuffle the Karma to related skills if you'd like, but not as a base skill.

As for B/R Battletacs, this is technically what we would have called a "Concentration" back in First/Second edition as B/R Battletacs falls under B/R Electronics and/or B/R Computers. You can still have it as a skill though and in theory could work complimentarily with the other skill(s) so mentioned when working on/repair/creating new battletac gear.

To develop the fuel? Wow, 12's and up. Reason being is you are wanting to develop a chemical/combustion fuel type that doesn't leave a trail wake. As we are discussion a thermalitic reaction having something "smokeless" is minimally possible. Vaporless is completely out there in the research dream tank. Everything, even Natural Gas, has a "smell" or "scent" when combustion reactions occur. The fuels used by race car drivers burn invisibly to the naked eye, but have a very strong scent and in thermographic look nearly white-hot when burning.

As for research time ... for Shadowrun Mechanics probably a base time of 60 or 90 days at least. I know that some real-world variations on the technology exist but you need to look carefully.

For instance: http://www.topdogsystem.com/ shows you "Vaporless Fuels", but they are really talking about Fuel Tanks, not the fuels themselves. You are discussing rocketry-related propellants also.

As for Smokeless Fuels http://www.stovesonline.co.uk/smokeless_fuels.html Gives a list in the UK/Great Britain of companies that work with and/or produce such items but you'll notice they are talking slow-burning items like in house cook stoves and such. When you look up "Coke" (a byproduct of coal refinement/production) you'll discover something that can be used in combustion technologies but again not with the kind of production for a vehicular/projectile propellant.

I'm not saying impossible mind you, but I am saying that given that the 20th century has been looking for that technology well now into this 21st century and found nothing that it might not exist. Part of the trade off of physics perhaps, I don't know.

I don't recall these target numbers. I'm presuming any arms dealer in Tunis or Quartermasters for any of the established merc units could do this. Someone from a communications capable (mega)corporation could also do this.

Oh gods, you've had this talk with Tony now too at some point. I'm gonna start calling it "Little Red Wagon" even if it does have legs.

Ooooooookay....

1 point to Token and to Karma pool

16 points to initiate to grade 6
2 days for initiation using mentor with Banshee

Raising Quickness to a 5 (yay!)

Learning these spells:

Nova Force 6
Nondetection Force 6
Mana ball Force 6
Petrify Force 6
Oxygenate Force 6 (can anyone guess why)
Vehicular Levitate Force 6

Learning the spells took nine days althogether, spending 3 for 2 on each one, also with a Force 5 astral quest for each one. Most of the formulas for them I have had for months, finally getting around to learing them.

Also:

When Cyrus is going up to Taur'i station for the Light Milspec he was promised, Rhayz will accompany and obtain a set for himself.

Beginning design on Pass Wall Force 8 and Insubstaniate Force 8, each formula taking 3 days to design.

Jon, this one bugs me. 32 Karma??? That is a 4x multiplier to the karma cost and that doesn't exist anywhere in the games that I know of. The skill should only cost you at most 16 points of karma. Where are the other 16 points being spent at?

Going from a 7 to an 8 is one point over meddles intelligence, and i added in all the points total from 1 to 8, but ill take your word for it, and spend less, thanks for catching that mistake btw.

You know what always amazes me about this? I know I have put completed lists of characters on here before. Never did understand why "quote" function couldn't be used and just edited the appropriate values (hint hint hint).
